The book reading competition was held on Thursday, October 5, 2019, in both Main and Barchi Branch of Kateb University. According to its action plan, the management of research centers held this round of book reading competitions to promote book reading and also to motivate students.

The book Time Management by David Luiz, translated by Kamran Rouh Shahbaz, was introduced to the students as a reference book. In this round of the book reading competition, about 200 students registered in both Main and Barchi branches. The exam was taken separately in both branches at the same time, and the students who were ranked first, second and third were given cash prizes of 3000, 5000 and 7000 Afghanis, respectively.

The book Time Management “How to increase your time by 10 hours per week” has 279 pages and different sections. When reading and writing, know your goals, set your priorities, discuss stress and time management and joint success. Creating a timetable, avoiding wastage of time, managing tasks, setting goals and personal management are important items in the book that help in achieving the set goals.

At the end of the competition, the participants’ answers were carefully corrected and among all the participants, Ms. Zahra Jafari, a Medical student, Zahra Shahed, a Law and Political Science student, and Mohammad Hossain Karimi, an Economics student, won first, second and third places, respectively. At last, the prizes of these winners were also awarded on the International Student Day during a program in the meeting hall of the Main Branch.
