Objectives:

The Creative and Media officer will work under the direct supervision of the strategic Communication Development Manager and is responsible to manage the owned, (Kateb University Web and Social Media accounts.) Paid Media (TV channels) and Earned Media (Newspaper and Magazines).He will be also responsible for monitoring online and printed press, develop contents in English and Persian languages and update the University’s website and social media accounts. He will be responsible for Videography, Photography, Video editing and Design.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare annual operation plan for media relations activities, publication and development in consultation with the line manager;
  2. Create database and update contact details of Mass media representatives (both national and international) to make sure have access them as needed;
  3. Maintain close contacts with Mass media representatives (national and international) to spur coverage of the University’s programs and activities;
  4. Draft contents for the University’s website and social media accounts in reasonable manner in Dari, Pashtu and English;
  5. Maintain the University’s website and all social media accounts updated according to the standard operating procedure (SOPs).
  6. Monitor news related updates in educational sector and report to targeted audiences daily in a reasonable manner;
  7. Arrange interviews including preparing briefings for interviewees and reporters;
  8. Attend conferences and events of the University and preparing news report for the website and social media accounts of the University;
  9. Prepare monthly reports containing the major accomplishments and achievements of the task
  10. Prepare media plan
  11. Prepare video teasers and documentaries for paid, earned and owned media.
  12. Design programs broachers, booklets, posters, profiles, Pole sign, Billboards and cards.
  13. Indoor and outdoor Videography and photography for different events of university.
  14. Implementation of Kateb University branding toolkit.
  15. Prepare monthly reports containing the major accomplishments and achievements of the task.
  16. Perform other duties assigned by the line manager.

 

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Journalism and any other related field.
  2. Multi-task skills
  3. Excellent skills in (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Premier, Aftereffect and Audition)
  4. Excellent Content and Script writing skills
  5. Professional Videography and Photography skills
  6. Professional Video editing and designing skills
  7. Excellent skill of Social Media use such as (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Flicker and LinkedIn)
  8. Excellent skill of working with WordPress
  9. Good skill of searching engine optimization (SEO)
  10. Excellent Inter-personnel skill
  11. Excellent negotiation skill
  12. Excellent skills in writing and speaking English, Persian and Pashtu language is required.
