A scientific seminar on “Introducing Security Breaches in Cyberspace and Solutions to Prevent It” was held on May 25, 2019 from 11:00 A.M to 1:00 P.M in the conference hall of the master’s branch of Kateb University. This seminar was organized by the Computer Research Center, Information Technology and Engineering in collaboration with the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at Kateb University.
At the beginning of the meeting, after reciting the Holy Quran and playing the national anthem, Professor Abdullahi, Director of Research Centers, welcomed the participants and spoke about research centers, how students can participate in projects, and how they can promote and report projects. Then, Dr. Mortaza Nikzad, Dean of Computer Science and Engineering Faculty spoke about the importance of security in cyberspace. Then, Professor Mohammad Hossaini, Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Faculty, as a speaker, and each of the students, Mr. Shir Ali Mohammadi, Mostafa Forootan and Mohammad Javid Heidari, as assistants, began their lectures. Topics discussed in this seminar include:
* What is social engineering and its types?
* Internal employees attack an organization
* What are phishing attacks?
* Implementation of phishing attacks
* Access to Internet accounts
* Detecting phishing attacks in e-programs
This seminar which was welcomed by more than 150 students from different faculties of Kateb University and other universities and by the presence of professors of Kateb University, ended around 1:00 P.M.
