Members of the Legal Clinic of Kateb University visited the legal clinic of Kawun Institute of Higher Education

Members of Kateb University Legal Clinic visited the Legal Clinic of Kawun Institute of Higher Education and Justice Institutions of Mazar-e-Sharif city of Balkh province in a four-day trip from November 12 to November 15, 2020.

During this visit to the legal clinic of Kawun Institute of Higher Education, the director of this institute introduced the functions, activities and structure of the legal clinic of Kawun Institute of Higher Education. In addition, members of the Kateb University’s Legal Clinic visited other sections of the Kawun Institute of Higher Education.
Then, the members of Legal Clinic visited the Independent Bar Association of Mazar-e-Sharif, which was warmly welcomed by the hosts. In the Independent Bar Association of Mazar-e-Sharif, Mr. Koohdamani, the president of the association, provided detailed information about the functions of this association and its legal clinic. Then, Mr. Danesh, the vice president of the association, exhibited a variety of books registered in the offices of the legal clinic, such as the law office, the counseling office, etc., in order to increase the students’ professional knowledge.

Following the visit, members of the Legal Clinic visited the Balkh Provincial Court of Appeals and the Anti-Violence Against Women Prosecutor’s Office. During this visit, the professor introduced the functions, activities and achievements of Kateb University Legal Clinic by introducing Kateb University. Mr. Ebrahimi, President of the Court of Appeal of Balkh Province, warmly welcomed the members of the Legal Clinic. In addition, he shared his experiences with Mr. Ebrahimi and provided information on the importance of transparency in the judiciary and the achievements of his years in this field.

The members of the Legal Clinic returned to Kabul on Sunday evening, November 15, with their achievements and successful experiences.
