Kateb Research Center held a seminar on unveiling of the book titled “Principles and Foundations of Genetics” on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Barchi’s Study Hall. In this program, Dr. Syed Mohammad Reza Hussaini Head of Research Center at Ghalib University and Dr. Zabihullah Iqbal Head of Para clinic department at Kateb University were the judges, who read the book and gave feedback and suggestions.
The event continued with the speech of Dr. Syed Hamid Mousavi head of Kateb Research Center. Dr. Mousavi thanked Dr. Ramouzi for his effort in publishing this book. In addition, he pointed out that Kateb University, as a research-oriented university has been able to surpass other universities in fields of research and publishing books. It has also been able to publish books in different fields and make them available for public.
In the continuation of the program Dr. Syed Mohammad Reza Hussaini stated that it is useful, valuable and irreplaceable boom in the field of genetics and molecular issues and can reduce dependence on foreign book especially book published in Iran. Regarding external references, he said that one of the problems is its terms used in those books, which are very difficult for students to understand. Publishing these book in the country, can help students learn better. Dr. Hussiani also pointed some points, especially in colored text in the book and these comments and suggestions were accepted by the author to be considered in the next editions. In the next part, Dr. Zabihullah Iqbal also expressed his comments and suggestions. He stated that this valuable and useful book helps medical students. He also said that before this, students used English and Persian references, which was difficult for them to understand. In the judging section, he also gave his feedback, which was accepted by the author to be considered in the nest edition.
At the end of the program, Dr. Ramozi, while appreciating and thanking the judges and participants of the seminar about the comment and suggestions, pointed out that the opinions of the judges are logical and correct and he will try tic insider all the point in the next editions.
