Report of visit of Professional Review Board of Ministry of Higher Education to Kateb University

The Board of Professional Reviewers of Department of Quality Improvement and Credit of Ministry of Higher Education visited Kateb University to evaluate the implementation of quality improvement and accreditation criteria from 25 10 28 of March, 2019.

During this 4-day visit and in the first and second days, Board of Trustees led by University, deans of faculties, heads of departments, members of the Quality Assurance Committee, representatives of councils and various committees of university, professors, managers and administrative staff, undergraduate and graduate students discussed separate issues regarding the implementation of quality improvement and accreditation criteria.

During the third and fourth days, members of Board of Trustees visited and reviewed the documents and evidence for the implementation of quality improvement criteria of adjutancy, faculties, departments, Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance Offices at  faculty level, Research Department and Research Centers (of Medicine, Computer Science, Economics, Law and Political Science), Student Affairs Management, Graduates, NAD System, Financial and Administrative Management, Human Resource Management, Planning and Effectiveness Management, Professional Development Management, Service Management, Maintenance, Public Relations Management, Gender, Clinic and Counseling Center of Law, Kateb’s Hospital, laboratories (Medicine, Computer Science and Engineering), libraries, Information Technology Centers, International Examination Center, community halls, security, health departments, and University’s Strategic and International Communications Office in both Central and Barchi Branches.

One of the important achievements in the field of higher education in Afghanistan is the credit and quality improvement program, and implementation of sustainable quality improvement criteria in order to standardize and improve the quality of higher education in Afghanistan is necessary.

The Board of Directors of Kateb University appreciates the efforts of Department of Quality Improvement and Credit of Ministry of Higher Education to improve the quality of higher education and continuous monitoring of the implementation of quality assurance criteria. He also thanked Board of Professional Reviewers of this department, who patiently reviewed Kateb University in a friendly atmosphere and in compliance with professional standards during 4 days.
