workshop on Building a Spaghetti Bridge
Date October 24, 2018
Duration 1:00-5:00 PM
Venue Mater Branch Conference Hall
The SDC is organizing a workshop of Building a Spaghetti Bridge on Wednesday, 24th of October, 2018.
The workshop is a fun and challenging opportunity for students to experience the planning, creativity, problem-solving and team-work required for a career in engineering.
Teams are challenged to build the strongest bridge weight, constructed with only spaghetti and glue. This is a wonderful challenge for students to test their Engineering skills. During the workshops, the trainer will provide tips on how to build a spaghetti bridge and other useful information to help student successfully complete the challenge. In large-scale engineering initiatives, saving is of great importance when building massive bridges which take massive loads into account.Because spaghetti is less elastic than steel and cement, it forces the designer to use his engineer to use his innovations to achieve high and optimal structures.
