The celebration of the student’s day was held on the second Sunday of November 22, 2020, with the presence of lecturers and students of the faculty in the meeting hall of the Main and Barchi Branch of Kateb University.
The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the national anthem, and then Mr. Baba Ali Safari, the head of the faculty, congratulated the students on the day and announced the full readiness of the faculty and the university to hold courses online and in-person. Holding the previous semester virtually, he addressed all students’ problems which contain access to the internet and electricity, access to quality teaching materials, connection with the lecturers, and answering the questions regarding courses, financial problems, and many more. Considering these problems, the necessary steps have been taken to eliminate them and the students have been assured that according to the decision of the Ministry of Higher Education, they will be provided the necessary appropriate conditions to continue their education.
The program continued with reading the article, presenting a scientific seminar entitled DSC, performing a comedy and music program, and cutting a cake.
Also, the achievements of Kateb Hospital were expressed by Mr. Afzali, and the gift of Kateb Medical Hospital, which includes the provision of medical services by experienced professionals, with the lowest fee and a 25% discount for students or first-degree family members, was proposed as health insurance.
In the continuation of the program, the head of the students’ association of the Computer Science and Engineering Faculty, Mr. Enayatullah Bayani introduced the structure and members of the association and explained the activities of the association through a video clip.
Finally, the ceremony ended with the appreciation of the top students of each class and the appreciation of the members of the students’ association.
