Given very limited presence of women in sports activities, trainings and competitions, Kateb University established a bowling club in 2017 to promote the participation of female students in the sport in order to strengthen their physical and mental health. The First Female Bowling Competition was by Afghanistan Bowling Federation on March 8th (Women’s Day).
The tournament was held for a day in Shahre-Naw’s Strinker Bowling Club; the Kateb Students’ Development Center introduced 4 women in the race, which eventually Mr. Bayat won the third position.
The bowling tournament was scheduled to feature each participant with 10 seats and 20 wins, with four top players playing in the finals.
